Jess - Staff Writer
Jess is a staff writer who’s brought her creative flair to thousands of product descriptions, from nipple clamps to “electro stimulators”. Away from work, Jess loves burlesque and tattoos. Jess recently launched a range of toys associated with the 50’s pin up idol Bettie Page.
When she’s not at work Jess loves attending burlesque shows, alternative fairs and tattoo conventions. When relaxing she spends her time catching up with friends and family, talking nonsense to her cat and dying her hair.
Matt - E-Commerce Manager
Matt is a statistics nerd and Lovehoney’s head of E-Commerce. His databases tell the company who’s buying what and where they live. The Sex Map of Britain recently concluded that Wilmslow was the kinkiest place in Britain. Matt wasn’t always a sex toy expert; his previous job was selling frozen food to the elderly. The Telegraph described Matt as “the gay man who arguably knows more about women’s sexuality than anyone else in Britain.”
Laura - Customer Care Advisor
Laura is one of fifteen people in Customer Care. All pride themselves on giving support to hundreds of thousands of customers. Callers ordering toys will often need help and advice on what is the right size, shape or power for them. Laura has a broad Bristolian accent and an infectious laugh. She once bought her own grandmother a vibrator as a Christmas present!
Outside of work, Laura enjoys good food and socialising with her friends and family, as well as looking after her dog, Bubba.
Richard Longhurst - Lovehoney Co-Director
Richard was a computer tech journalist before he pooled his redundancy money with Neal’s and bought a handful of toys which he kept under the bed. Now he’s the business brains behind the pair’s £25M empire. Always sarcastic; the only thing he takes seriously is the bottom line! Richard’s girlfriend is Joy, who’s Goods In Manager and Bonny’s sister!
Neal Slateford - Lovehoney Co-Director
Neal is an ex DJ and record producer. Alongside his business partner Richard, he owns half of Lovehoney. Neal is the creative boss. He’ll walk the floor and get hands on with product design. His latest creation is a toy based on a battery operated pumpkin carver. Neal’s girlfriend is Bonny – Lovehoney’s head buyer.
A former web developer, Neal's main claim to fame is that he appeared on Top of the Pops with his dance remix outfit DNA, who had a hit in 1990 with their version of the Suzanne Vega hit Tom's Diner. Neal has also done remixes for Kylie Minogue.
Andrea - Returns Administrator
Andrea is an ex-cleaner and is the queen of the Returns Department. She loves her work, donning plastic gloves to inspect the good sent back. With a 365 day returns policy, this is a busy job! Andrea has access to all the customers’ letters that accompany the returned items.
Andrea’s daughter Mel works a few meters away from her in the “Goods In” department.
Roy - Returns Administrator
Roy is the studio assistant who keeps the filming team well supplied. When he’s not running toys between the warehouse and the studio, he’s cracking jokes, putting on voices and teasing Annabelle.
He’s had a number of previous jobs, from fruit and veg delivery driver to drama teacher.
Bonny - Head Buyer
Bonny decides what you can buy on the company’s website. She travels the globe seeking out new treats for the customers. Bonny has been in a relationship with boss Neal since just before Lovehoney began. She liaises regularly with E L James on the Fifty Shades range.
She lives with Neal in a huge modern house on the edge of Bath. Her sister Joy dates the other boss Richard.
Cazz - Editorial Assistant
Cazz is the Editorial Assistant. She weighs and measures all of the products sold on the site. On the website forum, she’s responsible for checking that customers’ uploaded photos adhere to the rules of decency. Cazz is a huge Beyonce fan and loves shopping, fashion, make-up and mint flavoured lube.
Annabelle - Expert
‘Sexpert’, Annabelle presents the website videos that demonstrate how the sex toys work and educates customers on all matters sexual. She’s launched her own sex toy range in the past but now Annabelle’s busy writing a regular column in NOW magazine and making appearances on TV shows as a relationship expert.
